We live in a country surrounded by water, with a total of 8,700 km of coastline—and nowhere in Denmark is more than 52 km from the sea. Many of our summer houses are nestled along the coast, and for me, being near the water has a calming, de-stressing effect. Beach life frames countless precious hours with family.

Between 75 and 200 million tons of plastic waste end up in our oceans every year. That’s why I designed a table inspired by the sea, with a tabletop made from recycled plastic. This way, plastic waste ends up in a garden table—not the ocean.

The table can be flat-packed and assembled with just two screws.
