Lounge Table With Tray (Apéro)

In an apartment in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, my mother owned a modest LACK coffee table from Ikea. As 6 o'clock approached, she would dress the table with ornate trays filled with fine wine, champagne, and soda glasses—because it was time for l’Apéro. This elegant French tradition is a moment to wind down the day and welcome the evening with family and friends over a small drink.
My coffee table is a tribute to that tradition—and to all the other beautiful moments shared around a coffee table. It serves as a reminder to romanticize life and celebrate it just a little bit every single day.
The table is designed as a flat-pack product consisting of 7 pieces: top round bars, bottom round bars, 4 legs, and a tray.
